If you want a Prince...

..you must become a Princess.

You must become the princess your prince has been waiting for.

When we think of princesses, usually the first thing that comes to mind is an elegant young woman, beautiful, with a lovely gown and an air of grace about her.
I'm not saying that in order to be a princess, we have to be physically beautiful. We don't have to have floor-length tresses, perfect skin, or silky gowns.
What is it that truly defines a princess? What is it about her that captivates us?
It is her very presence. There is something about it. The way she walks, the way she speaks, the way she smiles.

When we imagine a princess, most of us don't imagine a ragged, disheveled hoodlum who curses and runs around like a boy. A princess is the very model of elegance and good behavior. She smiles at everyone, never yells, and never flirts. She knows when to speak, and when not to, and never says anything unnecessary.

She does not wear anything immodest; mini-skirts and tank tops are never a part of her ensemble. She dresses tastefully and modestly. She does not smother her face in makeup, or tie up her hair in a ridiculous and elaborate style. She does not seek attention. She is humble and meek.

If one wishes to attract a prince, one must become attractive to a prince. Think about it. A prince-like man will want to be chivalrous, to be a knight-in-shining-armor for his princess. If a girl behaves in a rough and coarse manner, she is likely to attract a rough and coarse man.
A girl must make her heart lovely. She must make her prince fall in love with her soul. If a man marries her because of her looks, what will happen when she becomes old and wrinkled?
Beauty is on the inside. What it is about Mother Teresa that makes her beautiful? Certainly not her physical appearance alone. She is old, tanned, wrinkled. But she has the most loving smile I've ever seen, and her inner beauty radiates all around her.

I am not saying that you have to be the very model of perfection. I am not saying that you have to be dainty or   own a trunk full of frilly pink dresses. I am not saying that if you don't follow these guidelines to a tee, you'll never get married.
No.
What I am saying is, these are good habits to practice if you want to attract a prince. Or even if you don't. This princess I've described sounds like a pretty amiable sort, does she not? She sounds like a person who is loved by all who know her.

Be ready for your prince. You never know when he might show up.

God bless,

  3. That was a real good post. You never really hear about what Godly men look for in a girl, you just hear about what the girl's are looking for. It's always a good reminder to try to achieve what you are looking for.

  4. Beautiful, and so real! I always strive to act like a princess, from the inside out, but your words have ignited the fire in my heart even more. I live for inspiration such as this. And what could be more inspirational than living like a princess for my future prince, and for my King in Heaven?
