my latest art adventure
I started this waaaaay before we moved, but since I packed all my art things first, I forgot about it for a while. Then, when I got bored one day last week, I decided to go ahead and finish it up. It took me around three or four days, I think. The eyes refused (and still refuse) to look right, I CAN'T draw cloth, and I pretty much killed my 4B pencil (my 6B disappeared and didn't reappear until last night).
Anyway. I learned how to draw two different kinds of material. Silk (failll), and whatever her hood is made out of. You can tell, I was extra careful on the left side, but then I got tired of being careful and just kind of scribbled, so it looks a lot worse. Also I had to digitally blow up her eyes, because they were way too small once I scanned them, only now I'm not sure if it looks better or worse.
But anyway!

Hey, I think you did a really good job! I know I wouldn't even get close to this good, at this point. And blowing up her eyes looks just right. :)

That's awesome, Gwen! You did really good job on the fabrics and the shading (the two points that are non-existent in my drawings). And her eyes are great!
ReplyDeleteWish I could draw something half as good as that...

Cool! I could tell who it is right away! Eyes are so hard to do, but those eyes are definitely hers.
